Worship Confessional: May 24th, 2009
We had a wonderful day at G’ville today. Another day where the people just seemed totally engaged in the worship of the One Who is worthy! They sang with energy and passion, and it just filled the room! We were down a bit in attendance. Well, maybe not if you count the church at the lake! (JK!). The Spirit of the service did not suffer with a bit lower attendance, that is for sure!
We were missing our acoustic player again this week but the sound we got from our two electrics, bass 2 keyboards and the drums was great… did not seem to miss thing! So, here is our setlist for the day:
- Marvelous Light – Hall
- Made Me Glad – Webster
- Amazing Grace/My Chains Are Gone – Tomlin/Excell/Newton/Rees/Giglio
Video intro for the message: Video was a Memorial Day Tribute
Message – We are in between message series here, so our pastor’s talk had a bit of memorial day in it with a challenge to daily love those that we still have with us, and of course, to love and worship God while we have the opportunity.
Time of response: Amazing Grace/My Chains Are Gone
Offering
- The Stand – Houston
- Glorious One – Fee – This was our first time doing this song. We had a rough start for some reason, but it pulled together by the end and seemed to be catching on. We will do it again next week.
We had a church picnic after the service at a local park. We do not do that often, but it was really a great time to hang with our people.
