Worship Confessional: May 2, 2010
Never really thought I would write another one of these as I thought my days of leading worship were pretty much in the past. I had the opportunity to lead in worship at my brother-in-laws’ church today. After taking three months off from leading, it was very refreshing to get up and once again lead God’s people into His presence. We had a great day of worship, followed by an all you can eat rib dinner! Who could ask for more?
I appreciated Pastor Earl Smith asking me to fill in for the day. He was a gracious host and has a heart for God and God’s people! The people of Granger Missionary Church were also very friendly, kind and loving. Thanks to all for the honor of leading today!
As far as the set list goes, we did the following:
First set:
- Friend Of God – Houghton/Gungor
- Mighty To Save – Fielding/Morgan
Second set: (During communion)
- Amazing Grace/My Chains Are Gone – Newton/Tomlin/Giglio
- Majesty – Smith/Garrard
- How Great Is Our God – Tomlin/Reeves/Cash
It was a great day with God’s people! I am SO thankful God allowed me to have the opportunity to lead today!
