Chelle,

I really think that all we can do is be passionate and authentic worshipers ourselves and leave the rest up to God and His Spirit to move in people. I heard a great statement while at Granger Community Church last month, "As leaders, we are responsible TO people. We are not responsible FOR people." That is liberating, because it means we are responsible to create and atmosphere where they can worship, but we are not responsible for them to actually worship.

Agreed. Every Sunday (or day we come together in worship) should be in awe, should be that heart-pounding, soul-bursting, tingle-from-your-head-to-your-toes kind of experience. Confession: I'm caught between worshiping in my own spiritual expressiveness and submitting to the reality of the lack luster worshipers around me. My heart wants to go all out, but what i feel doesn't always reflect what i see around me. How do we, as a church, create an environment that will stir a more passionate worship in our members? How can i worship with others without interpreting their "lack" as boredom? Anyone else feel this way?!?

Conner, it was our first time doing these two together (first time doing "The Same Power" as well). I got the idea from the setlist group last week and added it for our service. Was awesome!
